- Under the proposed structure, a bank (or
any 3rd party) may use ECAMS to submit Exchange
Control applications on behalf
of its customer
via the internet. Thus BIs
might want to
do this on behalf of their
valued customers,
as part of additional service
to them. Nonetheless,
the customers themselves can
apply directly
to BNM via the ECAMS module.
Other involvement of BIs in
ECAMS may come
from submission of specific
reports to BNM,
as currently required in a
few circulars
issued by Jabatan Pentadbiran
Pertukaran
Asing (JPPA).
